More Info:

Double lime green colored vinyl LP pressing. Digitally remastered and expanded release of Toyah's 1982 Top 20 album 'Warrior Rock -Toyah On Tour'. Originally released as live double album in October 1982, Warrior Rock was recorded at Hammersmith Odeon (now Hammersmith Apollo), London across the final two nights of the tour. The release presents 15 songs centered around material from the band's Top Ten albums 'Anthem' and 'The Changeling'. The album is named after 'Warrior Rock', the B-Side of Toyah's 1982 single 'Brave New World'. The band's hit singles 'It's A Mystery', 'I Want To Be Free' and 'Thunder In The Mountains' all feature on alongside fan favorites 'Ieya', 'Danced' and 'War Boys'. Nick Watson/Fluid Mastering has remastered the album from the original master tapes, overseen by Joel Bogen. 'Warrior Rock - Toyah On Tour' is pressed on transparent green vinyl, echoing the colored stage lights that are an integral part of the LP's front cover, and also nods to the very rare 1980s promo green vinyl pressing. The album cover has been refreshed with an updated, vibrant color shot scanned from the negatives captured on the evening and taken mere moments after the shot originally used. The LP comes in a gatefold sleeve and the inner gatefold features a previously unseen live color photograph of the full live band on stage at Hammersmith Odeon. The original backstage photos used on the 1982 pressing now feature on two color inner bags, which also feature further previously unseen live color shots.
