One of Miami's longest running producers of electronic music, Amos Larkins II is a cut above the pack when it comes to pure musical knowledge. A classically trained bassist who studied with the great Jaco Pastorius, Amos turned that knowledge into beats and became one of the original inventors of the Miami Bass sound back in the late 1980s. Over the years he has worked on productions in various styles of music from hip-hop to jazz, lo-fi electronica, deep house, synth pop... you name it, he's done it and he hasn't stopped. One of his specialties is working and collaborating with vocalists... which brings us to his latest project. Hailing from Cross River State in eastern Nigeria, vocalist Odey Ruth Ohaha, better known by her stage name Rutzy, is the perfect foil for Larkins' experimentations. Amos weaves exotic electronic lines around Rutzy's other-worldly sensuous vocalizations to create something unique and totally original - ultimately crafting modern Afro house at it's finest.
